Lyrically, GLOW chronicles Mhic’s journey back to herself as she processes trauma, loss, and change. The EP unleashes language for things that are difficult to express like anxiety, depression, abuse, and social media obsession, connecting to listeners in a deep and visceral way at the most isolated time we have ever faced.
Through the conception and production of GLOW, says Mhic, “I now realize that my cracks and crumbling are beautiful. And it’s how you fill those cracks with gold that creates meaning and transformation.”
But what makes GLOW truly special is its ability to translate emotion to sound. Through all the layers, vocal effects, sampled field recordings, and bombastic beats, Mhic shows us what emotions SOUND like. GLOW is a triumph of sound alchemy, where catharsis is the catalyst for healing.
The resolution? “Baby, you’re a cyclone”. Mhic has a powerful realization that it’s not her fault, that she can move on, and she can be free to dance on her next record.
